This Time Building Robots at The Tech Museum of Innovation
The Rod Streater Foundation and The Tech Museum of Innovation
Host Students from P.A. Walsh STEAM Academy
San Jose, CA December 7, 2015
Oakland Raiders wide receiver Rod Streater continued his “Where’s Streater?” journey this time visiting the Tech Museum of Innovation with students from P.A. Walsh STEAM Academy, a Tech Academy of Innovation. Rod’s love of science and his creative curiosity made The Tech a perfect destination. The Tech is one of only a few places in the country where kids can design, build and program a real robot using sensors, controllers and actuators. Rod couldn’t wait to see how his robot stacks up against those devised by the P.A. Walsh STEAM Academy students. Following lunch, Rod and the students toured the Galleries which features interactive exhibits showcasing how technology and innovation are changing our lives. Once again, Where’s Streater? guaranteed plenty of learning opportunities and tons of fun. Everyone agreed, a Touchdown was scored for Where’s Streater and The Tech Museum of Innovation!
