At the San Francisco Zoo!
The Rod Streater Foundation and the San Francisco Zoo Hosts Children and
Family Members from Ronald McDonald House at Stanford
San Francisco, CA, July 16, 2014
Rod Streater continued his “Where’s Streater?” journey, inviting children and family members from the Ronald McDonald House at Stanford to enjoy the day at the San Francisco Zoo. These children and families were given a much-needed break from the exhausting routine of treating a critical illness. Rod and his special guests explored exhibits and engaged with The San Francisco Zoo’s many friendly residents. An exclusive animal show at the Wildlife Theater highlighted the day, which included: Sierra the Golden Eagle, Dozer the Blue-tongued Skink, Tim the Radiated Tortoise, Zanaka the Dumeril’s Ground Boa, Quillamina the African Hedgehog, Louie the Green Iguana, Harley the Kinkajou, Sassafras the Prehensile-tailed Porcupine, and Monty the Turkey Vulture! Following this private viewing, all were invited for a picnic lunch and a tossing of the football.
