The Rod Streater Foundation Rewards Teens for Academic Achievement

San Francisco, CA, June 2, 2015
Oakland Raiders wide receiver Rod Streater continued his “Where’s Streater?” journey by hosting a “School’s Out” Bowling Party for two dozen teenagers from the Willie Mays Clubhouse at Boys & Girls Clubs of San Francisco. The party included bowling, music, fellowship, and lunch. Students were selected to attend the party based on their academic achievements and community service. Rod enjoys serving as a mentor to teenagers and encouraging them to establish goals and to pursue a higher education. Although he is a professional athlete, Rod continues to prepare for life after football. He is currently enrolled in classes and working towards his second degree, a BA in Game Art and Design.
