Now Touring “First Fridays” In The Crossroads Art District
The Rod Streater Foundation Joins ArtsKC to Host Big Brothers Big Sisters
Kansas City, MO June 3, 2016
Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Rod Streater continued his “Where’s Streater?” journey this time touring the streets and enjoying what has become the city’s liveliest and most popular events, First Fridays in the Crossroads Art District, Kansas City’s creative neighborhood. New to the city, Rod was anxious to visit the trendy neighborhood, taking in all of the excitement of a First Friday event from arts organizations, galleries, studios, live entertainment, food trucks, and a glimpse the KC Streetcar! What better way to share the experience than with local “Bigs” and “Littles” from Big Brothers Big Sisters as they soaked up Rod’s appreciation for the arts and learned about him pursuing a second degree in Game Art Animation. Rod partnered with ArtsKC – Regional Arts Council and together they provided participants an interactive, educational and artsy experience at First Fridays, which was presented by Art of the Car Concours!
